Ongoing and recently completed Project Activities

The main project completed during the 1st 7 months of the year 2024 was “Facilitate Implementation of the Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan and Develop a Strategy to Prevent and Control Micronutrient Deficiencies”

This Project was funded and supported by UNICEF Sri Lanka

SUN PF successfully completed 5 main components under this project in collaboration with the Presidential Secretariat, Health Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Nutrition Division of the Ministry of Health, District Secretariats, RDHS Offices, Divisional Secretariats, MOH Offices and SUN district coordinators and CSOs

  1. Facilitate for the Development of District and Divisional MSAPNs
  2. Facilitate for Drafting a National Strategy for Prevention and Control of Micronutrient Deficiencies in Sri Lanka 2023-2027
  3. Development of district nutrition action plan with multisector involvement for 7 districts
  4. Mapping Social Behavior Program & Scaling Up Workshop
  5. Strengthening mother support groups
